For the love of the game: brett's story
Quite often attorneys make the decision to enter the profession for different reasons. Some want to be the change they want in the world. Others have had something happen in their life that they feel needs to be fought against. Others may like job security, steady income, and the ability to make their own hours.
However, for our founding attorney, Brett Sachs, it was his determination to use what he had learned through school and his early years of practice to provide injured victims with the high quality, compassionate legal assistance they deserve. Brett is a firm believer that becoming close with clients makes all the difference, which is why he strives to add a personal touch to each and every client he assists.
In addition to his dedication to seeing those in need succeed, Brett is also a sports fanatic. His love for competition has led to great success in the personal injury field, allowing him to take on the title “The MVP of Personal Injury.”
Brett has had countless memorable client experiences, but one, in particular, stood out from others. This case wasn’t memorable because of the monetary value attached, as Brett has settled much larger cases, but because of how Brett was able to see the client’s life do a complete 180, allowing them to enjoy life again. This is exactly the reason why Brett decided to get into the industry, and it’s times like these that keep him giving his clients 110 percent, to ensure they receive the best possible outcome.
BICYCLE ACCIDENT
This client was hit on a bicycle and had emergency clavicle surgery, which those who know injuries know is a HUGE surgery. After everything this client went through, surgeries, rehab, trauma, and medical expenses, he was offered a laughable $55,000. He came to us after he was offered that because he was out of options for continuing the painfully expensive medical treatment necessary for recovery.
Our client was worried that we would not be able to get him more, as he thought the offered amount was set in stone. However, he believed in our firm after hearing of our success and meeting Brett in person, and decided to pursue compensation. After several months of rehab therapy and treatment, we were able to get a settlement of $500,000, which was nearly 10 times the original offer—allowing him to seek the compensation necessary to fully recover.
